Battle In Bern | Champions were Crowned
20 Mar 2026After a thrilling day at the Erupt Lounge in Bern, the Ibex Gaming League crowned its Winter Season 2026 champions in both Rocket League and Counter‑Strike 2, closing out the second season in style.
Rocket League: VisionGaming’s revenge run
Time 2 Esport entered the Grand Final as the defending champions with last season’s title‑winning roster and an unbeaten record in this Winter Season. They had even beaten VisionGaming 3–1 in the regular season, setting up a classic rematch storyline for the live audience in Bern. Multiple players from the league were present on site, backing both finalists and underlining how tight‑knit this Swiss Rocket League community has become.
In the Grand Final, VisionGaming’s captain MaKi led his team to a hard‑fought revenge victory over Time 2 Esport. VG steadily wrestled momentum away from the reigning champions and never let it slip again. As a result, VisionGaming lifted the Ibex Gaming League trophy for the first time, while Time 2 Esport had to settle for the runners‑up spot this time around.
MVP supported by World of Games went to MaKi, recognising his leadership throughout the season.
Counter‑Strike 2: Feather stays on the throne
On the CS2 side, last season’s champions Feather returned to the server with the same trusted line‑up and an almost mythical record: they had not lost a single map all Winter Season on their road back to the Grand Final. Their opponents, Simmer UME, embraced the role of underdogs, fully aware that every kill and every round against Feather would be worth celebrating.
The final opened with a statement from Feather, who dismantled Simmer UME 13:3 on de_dust2. Simmer UME refused to be intimidated; on de_inferno they pushed into a multi‑round lead and, against all expectations, handed Feather their first map loss of the entire season with a 13:9 win. In the map break, both captains – Feather’s AntoN and UME’s ShebX – could be seen in the venue joking with each other and enjoying the battle, a perfect display of the league’s sportsmanship.
Feather answered instantly. They reset mentally, tightened up their defensive setups and closed out de_nuke 13:3 before sealing the series on de_mirage with a 13:5 scoreline, taking the Grand Final 3–1. Once again, Feather stand at the top of the Ibex Gaming League, lifting their second consecutive title and underlining their status as the team to beat in Swiss Counter‑Strike
MVP supported by World of Games went to El_Batman, whose outstanding playoff form peaked in the final, where he posted a 1.71 rating and a 2.06 K/D to “finish the job” for Feather. His impact frags in crucial swing rounds repeatedly shut down Simmer UME’s hopes of forcing a deciding map.
